Who am I?

Hi there!

I'm Alice, I am currently living in Nottingham, UK and I try and get outside in my hiking boots or on my bike as much as possible!

I love camping and being away from all the hustle and bustle! Head over to my adventures page to read what I've been up to.

I work in digital learning within the University of Nottingham's School of Medicine assisting in the delivery and support of various learning technologies used throughout the school. I also have a background in scientific research focussed on measuring how biologically-relevant molecules interact with light using laser spectroscopy in the lab and employ computational simulations with quantum chemistry approaches to aid in the interpretation of the results. Head over to my research page to read more about the projects I took on as part of my PhD and beyond.

This website serves as a way for me to improve my writing, showcase some pictures and maybe even help someone in the future. I look forward to updating with posts on what I've up to and I hope you enjoy reading.
